What are the symptoms?
Collision Dyspareunia is a pain felt deep in the pelvis (abdomen) during sexual intercourse. During penetrative sex, at its deepest thrust, your partner's penis strikes the cervix or the surrounding tissue. When the cervix, or the surrounding tissue, is hit too hard then you feel the pain of collision dyspareunia.
Varying sexual positions, or using a specialist product like the ComeClose protector ring, can help to reduce or eliminate the pain of collision dyspareunia. Download a free fact sheet to help you decide if your pain is caused by collision dyspareunia.
There are many reasons why sex can be painful. A visit to your GP or GUM clinic is advisable.
